Summary of Duties:
• setting up an office space in Kiev, including hardware, network, and software setup for development workstations
• manage the company’s interests in Ukraine.
• communicating regularly with Boston programming staff through Internet telephony, Instant Messaging chat, E-mail, and phone regarding project goals and completion status
• assist in locating and hiring talented PHP/MySQL programmers in Kiev
• manage day-to-day work of Kiev programming team
• assisting in development of web applications using object-oriented PHP5
• ensuring conformance to VHL coding standards and guidelines
• managing and assisting in the testing and debugging applications
• ensuring creation of portable, manageable code with good documentation
Qualifications:
• 3 or more years managing software development teams
• Strong understanding of Object-oriented programming techniques
• Working knowledge of PHP5 and MySQL
• Advanced expertise with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with version control software (such as CVS or SVN)
• Fluent English
