The Embedded Linux Team develops tech-nologies in the area of embedded systems. Projects cover a wide range of fields span-ning topics such as porting Linux to custom hardware or inno¬vative concepts for booting, safeguarding and root file system creation.
Responsibilities
• Development of system software for Linux operating system
• Consulting to projects in the area of Linux system development
• Advanced development in the area
of embedded systems
Requirements
• System level programming with
UNIX type operating system
• Use of inter-process communication and multi-threading mechanisms
• General knowledge about principles
of operating systems
• C/C++, assembler, and shell scripting
• Master in computer science,
electrical engineering or similar
• at least 3 years of working experience in kernel and/or system programming
• fluent English
Optional:
• Development of Linux device drivers
• Experience in cross-development and cross-platform debugging
• Experience with different processor platforms: x86, ARM, MIPS, PPC
• Proven contributions to Open Source
community
