INTRODUCTION
Our client are a start-up in the domain of management of distributed renewable power plants and demand response. Since 2011 they develop and market an Energy Management System for distributed energy systems in Switzerland and abroad.

The system allows optimized control of renewable assets and storage systems, creation of virtual power plants as well as integration of other devices for demand response. The existing solution is recognized as being at the forefront of the worldwide innovation. Our client is dynamically growing in Switzerland, Germany and other key markets. The technology development is located in downtown Zurich (CH).

The technology team is further improving the functionality and scalability.
The core activities are the development of the IT-framework and smart algorithms. On our growth path we are building an internal IT development team, for which we are seeking the lead JEE developer.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide the software developer team
• Develop jointly with our CTO the technology strategy and architecture to fulfill the requirements from the product development
• Convert product requirements into solid technical concepts and specifications
• Develop with the team and external partners the specified solutions along the development process in quality, budget and time
• Be the center point of contact of subcontractors for code-related matters
• Provide support and training (teach the teacher)

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid IT education
• Minimum seven years of experience with Java, OSGi and JavaEE technologies
• Interested in guiding younger developers and "rolling-up your sleeves to get things done" whenever necessary
• Good know-how in IT security
• Working with GIT and Maven is routine
• Interest in the renewable energy domain, in particular photovoltaic and energy storage
• Possess accountability in meeting commitments and expectations
• Fluent in English and preferably also in German.
