IP Networking and Security Team lead

Requirements:
• Solid knowledge of Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, Firewalls, IDS/IPS
• Troubleshooting the network’s design and architecture issues
• Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices
• Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
• Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques including penetration testing and the development of exploits
• Experience and expertise with ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling (Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols)
• Packet capture and analysis
• Unix/Linux scripting: python, ruby

Responsibilities:
• Experience in supporting the full engineering lifecycle to include; Demonstrate the ability to work with customers to determine network requirements, write system requirement documents, and develop design solutions (physical and logical) that are in compliance with best engineering practices, standards, and guidelines, implementing and testing the solution to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Ability to collect and analyze up-to-date technical and regulatory information.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the unique end-to-end characteristic of IPTV.
• Be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN and server architecture
• Enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations

Video Encoding Platform Engineer

Requirements:
• Intimately familiar with video resolutions including: SD, HD, 4K/UHD and frame rates
• Intimately familiar with audio compression codecs such as MPEG, Dolby Digital, PCM
• Intimately familiar with video compression codecs such as: MPEG, H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC and GOP.
• Intimately familiar with embedded operating systems, IP network stacks, multicast (IGMPv1-3, PIM) and unicast (RTP, HLS, MPEG DASH) protocols.
• Intimately familiar with Serial Digital Interface standards and workflows such as 3G/6G/12G UHD-SDI.
• Understanding of ETR290 specifications and understand and interpret MPEG stream analysis.
• Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems and Network Element Management Systems such NMX.
• Intimately familiar with TCP/IP protocol stacks including some knowledge of routing protocols.

• Validating that audio/video equipment is properly configured for optimal results.
• Analyzing metadata and error files to pinpoint the source of the problem.

CPE Embedded Systems Engineer

Requirements:
• Ability to implement embedded system such as Set-Top-Boxes, Wireless CPE, Modems and Residential Gateways, Network Appliances and low-level systems solutions.
• Experience with embedded hardware development (schematic design & PCB layout design) and diagnostic. Tools example: PROTEL / Altium (for design), Assembly and C (for FPGA based hardware diagnostic). Customize kernel start-up.
• Experience with Cross-platform development /debug environment and GNU Tool Chains establishing
• Experience with Board bring-up: uCLinux board support package (BSP), first boot loader (PPC u-boot, ARM u-boot), uCLinux 2nd boot loader for code relocation, customizing uCLinux system boot-up, flash driver for loading very first images, hardware board diagnostic (FPGA validation, schematic /PCB) using SW (Assembly and / or C) and /or HW (logic analyzer, oscilloscopes)
• Experience with uCLinux / Linux kernel, integrating and troubleshooting embedded system with u-boot, Linux, JTAG debugger, test. Experience with uCLinux / Linux device drivers (Char, Block, Network) troubleshooting and debugging
• Experience with embedded Linux system tuning, optimization, profiling, test, debugging such as file system, scheduler, kernel internals, system calls, storage and cache

Base Qualifications:

Juniper Network Engineer (Seattle, VA)

This is a 40 hour per week position, on-site, at the customer location and may require additional work hours and on-call support for critical issues which will be compensated for with Comp time.
• To hold network information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
• To understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in supporting a network that is available and sustainable.
• To carry out testing of new Designs, features, and functionality as required by the Customer in a laboratory environment and to help develop plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live network
• To test patches and fixes to operating software and to ensure that they are implemented and functioning correctly in the pre-production test network and then live network as implementation plans dictate.
• To troubleshoot equipment and network problems and to open and track JTAC cases through to problem resolution on pre and post production issues.
• To raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to track these through to problem resolution
• To produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the Customer
• To hold technology workshops with the Customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried
• To train the Customer’s design, implementation and support personnel to configure and operate the Juniper Networks products
• To assist the Customer to develop Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
• Support production environment of Juniper products within the Customer infrastructure
• Support ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies for Juniper product applications used by Customer
• The Resident Engineer is expected to peer with other employees performing similar resident engineering roles where lessons learned may help minimize risk associated with major network upgrades or changes in the network.
The RE will be expected to develop secondary skills in other products in the Juniper product portfolio.
Base Qualifications
• Candidates for this role MUST have a minimum 5 years experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments.
• Candidates for this role MUST be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
Strong Interpersonal skills, Ability to work well with many levels of customer engineering and management, ability to work well with the juniper account team and Technical assistance center.
• Detailed technical experience in the installation and operation of IP Routers Switches and Firewalls. This includes hands-on operation of management tools and network analyzers.
• Detailed understanding of the protocols surrounding IP networks. These skills should generally include: a. TCP/IP fundamentals, b. IP subnetting and supernetting and hierarchical routing principles, c. Routing protocol operation (OSPF and BGP), d. Routing policies at BGP peering points, e. VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (L2TP, MPLS, etc.) Switching, spanning tree and other switching technology as required, Firewalls and associated technologies as required
• The ability to function in a team environment and recognize and take on tasks with self-direction as well as the ability to take direction from the customer, account team, and Advanced Services Management.
• The ability to communicate well within the Juniper team articulating customer problems before they become issues being proactive where possible.
• Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Juniper Networks router and firewall and switching products, passion to continue learning and expanding your knowledge.
• Expert level knowledge of the SRX high end platforms SRX5800 & SRX5400 at the hardware Level, and they should understand what and how many cards are in the device and their functions
• Working knowledge of Juniper Security Director mgmt. platform
• Be able to configure, operate and troubleshoot the above mentioned platforms
• Architecture level understanding of the packet flow is highly desirable.
• Juniper MX series routers would be a desired, but not required secondary focus.
