Responsibilities:
Write conceptual, procedural, and API reference documentation for an Eclipse-based application, within a defined schedule. Collaborate with other team members, QA engineers, R&D engineers, and Product Mgmt. Research material without written technical specifications and read source code to create new documentation or update existing documentation. Produce clear, accurate, and well-organized documentation that requires minimal editing for common English with minimal direction. Contribute to overall improvement effort to enhance processes and guidelines related to product usability and documentation creation and production.
Required Skills:
Minimum one year experience writing highly technical software documentation for a high tech company. English language fluency (both verbal and written) required. Expert knowledge of English grammar as it relates to technical writing style required. Previous responsibility for successfully taking documentation from conception through release. Ability to develop project schedules and provide scoping information. Excellent interpersonal, self-management, and problem-solving skills. Experience writing source documentation in XML and structured documentation highly desirable. Java, C++, or C# programming experience highly desirable.
