A well-known American bank Lehman Brothers has a new opening of Business Analyst to work at the Bank’s office in London

Key initiatives to be delivered by the Global Credit Risk Group over the next year include:

• Implementation of Basel II internal model methodology (IMM) for credit risk exposures;
• Integration of new front office trading systems and enterprise databases with credit risk systems; and
• Re-engineering of existing risk systems to enable growth in product coverage, new methodologies and increased volumes.

Key responsibilities for the role are:

• Gathering and documenting business requirements;
• Analyzing, sourcing and documenting data requirements
• Designing and developing new solutions to Credit Risk Management problems and building them into the appropriate Global framework;
• System and integration testing, and assisting User Acceptance testing;
• Ensuring that the existing production environment operates with minimal interruption; and
• Assisting the users with queries about the processing and output of risk systems and about the source input data in order to ensure that accurate risk reports are produced.

Required qualifications are:

• Experience in interviewing senior users, gathering information and agreeing business requirements with business stakeholders;
• Experience in data analysis and data interface design; Ideally Basel II related.
• Good understanding of FX, fixed income, equity and commodity traded products;
• Strong development skills, preferably with experience in all areas of the development lifecycle, and are enthusiastic and interested in building robust software solutions;
• Good knowledge of Sybase SQL and a general understanding of Sybase database design and performance issues;
• Good communication skills; and strong academic record in a numerate discipline such as engineering or science.
• Fluent English

Work Conditions:

This assignment requires a permanent move to London, UK. The candidate will be working in the Bank’s office with her/his team members in an exciting, fast paced working environment, and a culture of mutual respect and teamwork.

The company provides the work permit in the UK. After a year spent on-site, the candidate will have an option either to stay in London, or join an off-shore part of the development team in a senior technical or managerial role.
