Our client, part of one of the largest entertainment companies in Switzerland is looking to expand its constantly growing development team. This is a Lead PHP developer role and is a chance for someone looking to work in an agile environment with a focus on E-commerce.

The role:
The role will involve working in an agile environment across various products including a highly transactional website and a high capacity content management system that supports worldwide online activities.

Responsibilities:

• Taking a technical lead within a small team as well as working alongside product managers and customers. You will also be charged with planning the requirements to deliver software products and features.
• Ensure full understanding of the technical vision for all applications.
• Coaching your team to have full understanding of the principles of good software design (SOLID and TDD)
• To reports on the 'health' of software products.
• Promote and initiate the implementation of new ideas and process's.

Essential Skills:
• Fluent English speaker.
• Deep level of experience developing online applications using: PHP, XHTML, JavaScript and XML.
• Extensive commercial experience developing online applications with the LAMP platform. Ideally also have knowledge of at least 1 compiled language (Java/ASP.Net)
• Database experience is essential- SQL
• Strong experience developing using TDD/BDD.

Ideal Skills:
• Experience of Java development.
• Experience or knowledge of Domain Driven Design.
• Developing online CMS.
